2023 Infill and Expansion Plans

Citi Bike is growing in Brooklyn Community Boards 8 and 9 and Queens Community Board 2!  As the system grows, demand in the system's core increases. New stations improve capacity and system density. New stations enable more Citi Bike trips for more New Yorkers, regardless of where they start or end their trips.

Citi Bike And Healthfirst Offer Free Citi Bike Memberships For Young People In New York City's Summer Youth Employment Program

This month, Citi Bike and our official wellness partner, Healthfirst, will provide more than 1,200 free, two-month Citi Bike memberships to participants in New York City’s Department of Youth and Community Development’s Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), which connects youth from the across the city with career exploration opportunities and paid work experiences.

Lyft’s New Ebike to Join the Citi Bike Fleet in May!

Ebikes are pulling a new group of riders onto Citi Bike by helping them get to their destination faster, and climb hills and bridges without breaking a sweat, no matter their physical ability. In fact, our ebikes served two to three times as many rides per bike as our classic pedal bikes last year.

Over 150 million rides taken on Citi Bike!

On Friday, June 10th, Citi Bike surpassed a total of 150 million rides taken since its May 2013 launch! This averages out to over 45,000 rides per day!

2022 Expansion Draft Plans Now Available!

The presentations for Citi Bike's 2022 Phase 3 Expansion are now available! This year, we will be expanding deeper into Queens and Brooklyn, covering neighborhoods such as Sunnyside, Maspeth, Bed-Stuy, and Crown Heights.
