Citi Bike And Healthfirst Offer Free Citi Bike Memberships For Young People In New York City's Summer Youth Employment Program

This month, Citi Bike and our official wellness partner, Healthfirst, will provide more than 1,200 free, two-month Citi Bike memberships to participants in New York City’s Department of Youth and Community Development’s Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), which connects youth from the across the city with career exploration opportunities and paid work experiences.

Lyft’s New Ebike to Join the Citi Bike Fleet in May!

The new electric Citi Bike. It is a gray Citi Bike.

Ebikes are pulling a new group of riders onto Citi Bike by helping them get to their destination faster, and climb hills and bridges without breaking a sweat, no matter their physical ability. In fact, our ebikes served two to three times as many rides per bike as our classic pedal bikes last year.

NYC DOT Commissioner Rodriguez and Lyft Announce Citi Bike Medical Workers Program

NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez and Lyft announced Citi Bike Medical Worker's Program, making free 60-day memberships available to hospital workers during this current moment of uncertainty with a rising number of COVID-19 cases due to the Omicron variant. Public and private hospital employees, including custodial workers and other support staff, will be eligible to sign up for the program through their place of employment until February 7th, 2022.
