The presentations for Citi Bike's 2022 Phase 3 Expansion are now available! This year, we will be expanding deeper into Queens and Brooklyn, covering neighborhoods such as Sunnyside, Maspeth, Bed-Stuy, and Crown Heights. This page will be updated as we present to the local Community Boards.

NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez and Lyft announced Citi Bike Medical Worker's Program, making free 60-day memberships available to hospital workers during this current moment of uncertainty with a rising number of COVID-19 cases due to the Omicron variant. Public and private hospital employees, including custodial workers and other support staff, will be eligible to sign up for the program through their place of employment until February 7th, 2022.

The presentations for Citi Bike's Expansion & Infill are now available. These presentations focus on infill in Manhattan. Infill is the process of increasing capacity by adding stations and docks to the existing service area. As the system grows, demand in the system’s core (particularly Manhattan south of 60th Street) increases. Infill will improve system density and increase capacity, thereby enabling more Citi Bike trips for more New Yorkers.

Since May, we’ve topped our single day ridership record a whopping nine times, most recently with 135,005 rides on September 11. This month, we’re averaging several thousand more rides per day than last year’s all-time record of 103,159.
