This year, NYC DOT and Alta Bicycle Share are bringing bike share indoors! Bike share Open Houses will give New Yorkers the opportunity to learn about the system, check out the bikes, ask questions and give feedback during the cold-weather months.
Select Open Houses will also include safety presentations, t-shirt giveaways, and free bike safety equipment.

Bike Share Open House: Port Authority Bus Terminal
Wednesday, January 25th, 2012, 3:00 pm–6:00 pm
Check out New York City’s newest mode of transportation at the nation’s largest and busiest bus terminal, midtown’s Port Authority Bus Terminal. Located between 8th and 9th Avenue at 41st Street, DOT staff will be on the main floor of the South Terminal from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 25. We’ll answer questions and hand out some free giveaways while you check out the bike share bikes. Swing by before getting on your bus and learn about NYC’s new transportation option coming this summer!

Cross everything off your grocery list this Saturday while checking out the bike share bikes at the Essex Street Market located at 120 Essex Street (at Delancey Street). DOT staff will be set up near the market’s seating area to answer questions and hand out some free giveaways from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
