New Citi Bike stations are coming to Manhattan in Harlem, Midtown, and Downtown and to Brooklyn in Williamsburg, Greenpoint, and Park Slope! In December 2024, the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) and Lyft (the owner and operator of Citi Bike) announced additional growth of the Citi Bike system. This growth includes two distinct but related efforts: expansion, the process of bringing Citi Bike to new parts of New York City, and infill, the process of increasing capacity by adding stations and docks to the existing service area. As the system grows and ridership increases, infill helps the system function by improving the station network and increasing capacity in the highest ridership areas. These new stations help meet the program’s infill goals.
